New version of the book

Hi,

@martin
I was wondering when the new version of the book will come out ?
Is there already an expected release date ?
For me who is bought the book last year, would I receive a copy directly ? And will it be free ?
Thanks in advance. :slight_smile: :grin:

Hey @Eolinwen this one is been a bit more work than usual as I’m also working on a PySide2 edition, but it should be this month! On the home stretch now though :slight_smile:

Yep, as you’ve previously bought the book you’ll get this update (and all future updates) for free. It’ll be available for download on the site, but you’ll also get an email to let you know when.

Hey @Eolinwen the book is now live on the site! Took a little longer than expected, as I kept finding things to add :smiley:

You can now download it from the home page, you’ll also see the PySide2 version there as well if you’re interested.

The code examples have all been updated, there are now 221 of them – and they’re all fully-working standalone examples (the book contains excerpts in places, but you can always run the full thing).

Let me know if you have any feedback!
